Life has been busy

It really has. And school has been never-ending. But we've managed to have some fun despite all the homework by being outside. The weather has been wonderful this week. I mean, perfect. Mid-seventies.

So nice in fact, that Momo decided to take a nap outside one day. And that was the day the kids decided to have, erm, "fun" in the sandbox...she didn't look so peaceful after she woke up...

Jack has been crawling everwhere and he is getting close to talking...I'm trying to teach him my name but he's a slow learner.

The kids had lots of fun when cousin M (far left) brought over some bubbles.

So there they are, all with their usual expressions. Goldilocks: "sweet", Jack: Suspicious, and SquiRe: Silly.

So that's life for us. Couldn't ask for more, right?

Where We've Been and What We've Been Doing

Sorry we haven't posted anything for a while! We've been busy, and I've got pictures to prove it!

We said goodbye to Aunt J on Monday.

But you don't have to be sad! You can say "hi" to our uncle's head!

We had  a lot of family over on Saturday. SquiRe and Goldilocks loved all the attention.
Aren't they cute?

We also tried out our new game:

It is so much fun!
It is just like charades, but each word has assigned points and there is a timer!

I know we look pretty silly. Can you guess what we were doing in any of the pictures?

There was a lot of love on Valentine's Day,

And a lot of yummy cream puffs!

Cream puffs are one of my favorite desserts!

The three of us also made a giant gingerbread man. Yum!
That's about all you missed! See, why should we post every week when we can sum it up in one blog post?

After a busy month we all got sick! We're coming down with a flu or something like that. Poor Goldilocks has to have a breathing treatment every once in a while because her asthma is acting up!
But even with a runny nose she's still cute!

Our cousins got a new dog!

Happy Princess Day!

Or Goldilocks' birthday, which was yesterday. We had cake and ice cream with the family next door and gave gifts. Birthday theme: Princess! Like everything else she does ;-). She got from mom and dad a tiara and "high heel" shoes with a matching necklace and she won't take them off!

In the Light

I love this song by DC Talk.

In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it. - John 1:4-5

We're...back

Okay, so we've been back for over a week. But I've been trying to think of a way to post without it being completely boring. Not that the trip was completely boring, we met some great people and had a good, cold time there. But there are no pictures. The camera was dead when we packed it (we were rushed) so nothing. Nada. Zip. Zero. Thus, boring.
But we've been asked to post about the trip anyway so it went like this:
Day One: Drove all day. Saw snow at a gas station along the way and Momo and I got to throw two snowballs, using up all of the snow that was still clean.
Day two: Arrived at Aunt J's MO cabin, met some of her friends and got straight to work.
Day three: Worked (we were moving her out of her condo and fixing up her house in the city).
Day four: Went to church and worked.
Day five: Got sick and worked. We also had dinner with a family who was nice enough to help Aunt J move =].
Day six: Worked some more.
Day seven: Left MO, drove all night and reached home with impeccable timing! ...not. At noon as we pulled into a McDonald's our Coupling Assy. (whatever that is...) had issues that sounded like a blown tire. So we were toed to the nearest Hyundai dealership but it was "too late to take a look at the car". But hey! they said, Maybe we could buy a new car! It would only be 5k extra...okay, so maybe not, maybe only 10k...that's not bad right?

Day eight: So we finally convince them we are NOT going to buy a new car and they get to work.

Day nine: We are outta there by noon after facing an ice storm (side note: I have never been so cold in my entire life. I mean...my nose felt like it was going to fall off and when I stepped into a wind tunnel...it did. Okay, maybe not but you get the picture.) then we drove all night and reached home at around 1:30am on Day ten.

So that was our trip. And it is so nice (and might I mention WARM) to be home.

Goodbye dirt, hello snow!

Momo and I are going on a trip with Dad and Aunt J to MO where we'll be helping her pack up a bit so she can move back here for awhile! Woo-hoo!

And we are in for some snow there too. Which is wonderful (for me)!

Hopefully, we can not only bring the camera but be able to post during the trip.

Until later,
Sam
