The wonders of Fall

Okay, so it's winter. But this is when the leaves start falling  (on some trees) so we all went and played in the leaves.

It was great to be able to have some fun. And the weather has been awesomely cold too.

Our Nana passed away mid-November. The holiday season will be hard without her, but we will try to remember to keep this blog somewhat updated.

Pictures and Jack

SquiRe was dressing up like Lewis from Meet the Robinsons.

Okay so tell us. Is she ugly or cute? I think cute, Momo disagrees.

Goldilocks locking very pretty in her new cowgirl boots.

Poor Jack. He's had a really high fever the last few days and hasn't been happy. But that doesn't stop him from being cute. A few days ago when we were getting him up from naptime his lullaby CD was playing the 23rd Psalm and he actually knew some of the words. It went like this.
CD: ♪You lead me beside still--
Jack: ♫Water....
CD: ♪You restore my--
Jack: ♫Cold, cold!
So he sort of knew the words anyway, lol.

So that's a quick, brief update on us. I have to go finish school though, so the post has to be short.

Canadian Thanksgiving

SquiRe calls Canadian Thanksgiving "fake Thanksgiving". [To any Canadians reading this: We told him that it is not fake! =) ]

This is the third (I think) year we have celebrated Canadian Thanksgiving. I recently had a friend ask us why we did. My response: "We really like food." I love baking and cooking so I'm just as happy to make the food as I am to eat it.

I would have more pictures to share, but when our mouths are full of food we smile less. And when we do smile it isn't as photogenic. =]
Yep, that is burned. Very burned. (To which, when he saw it, my dad gasped and said, "We don't ever burn things here, baby!") Other than burnt stuffing everything turned out well, and I am so thankful for Fake Canadian Thanksgiving!

More vacation

Okay, I've been informed that the pictures I posted last time did not seem happy at all so maybe these will set a different tone :D.

A very good picture of Momo, imho

Tracks of some large bird

Geese

The boys of the family

Credit for the close ups of the bison goes to Dad. He got closer than all of us.

Ducks on the lake

We got really close to this cow...she's obviously very used to people

A rare photo of Risa

Momo doing what she does best, making us laugh

Impolite

All kids who can talk

And, on another note, tomorrow we're going to go see Courageous! Which will probably be the best movie of the year. Can't wait.
